Zubia Khawaja headed a consulting company that helps small and medium-sized businesses to run their business more efficiently. During the past two years, Zubia focused its attention on helping communities in developing countries create sustainable livelihoods. He currently has two projects underway in East Africa. Zoubi believes that the business sector is in the best position to solve social problems like poverty. About TEDx, x = one organized event in the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. The TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = one organized TED event. TED Conference provides general guidance for TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are organized separately.
